BROWN BROTHERS® returned to sweeten up the day at the 2015 20/20 Vizion & Ford Impact Conference.

Held at the Donnigton Park Racing Circuit, the event proved to be a great success for Brown Brothers as an exhibitor and for all involved. The event lasting over two days saw a series of informative and thought provoking presentations which were complemented by an extensive supplier village where Brown Brothers showcased the latest BODYLINE® and Brown Brothers solutions to delegates.

As an added bonus to the event, Brown Brothers returned with the Pick n Mix sweet stand, which proved extremely popular with many of the previous visitors from last year’s event as well as newcomers commenting on the novelty of the idea. A range of branded giveaways were also available at the stand.

Day 1 – 20/20 Vizion Conference

Day one saw the conference begin with an introduction to Vizion and a brief agenda of the day. A series of talks then followed, ranging from managing customer experience and product development to strategic planning and vehicle development.

At lunchtime delegates had the chance to view the exhibitor stands and talk to suppliers about their latest offerings.

The event concluded with a panel of speakers including car insurers and car body & paint development managers with some interesting talks around the subject of communication, approvals & key to key times.

After the main conference, the evening event began, hosted at the Radisson Blu hotel. With a buffet dinner and on stage entertainment, the night offered a great opportunity for further networking.

Day 2 – Ford Impact Conference

Day two began with the exhibitor village open for delegates, followed by a welcome from Jon Wellsman, Director of Ford Customer Service. Jon gave an engaging presentation about Fords latest models and technology advancements, with a mention to a new special addition range of the Fiesta model. Tom Overington, Ford Global Safety Project Manager shortly followed, speaking about the new crash avoidance technologies being implemented in Fords upcoming 2017 – 2020 models. Rounding off the morning session, Jackie White & Nigel Stimpson presented the Ford academy apprenticeship programme. Many key issues were raised including the ageing workforce in the industry, which Fords programme aims to engage young people and provide the relevant training to become a qualified apprentice.

After the morning session concluded, lunch arrived with the exhibitors busy at the stands as delegates viewed the latest supplier offers and products.

The afternoon session began with David Cresswell, Chairman, Auto Body Professionals club giving an industry update on the latest movements and issues effecting bodyshops, suppliers and insurers. David then finished by presenting the Ford Excellence awards.

Finally, congratulations to the Ford team for putting on an excellent networking opportunity and informative event, Brown Brothers are extremely pleased to have been part of it and we look forward to the return of the event next year.
